Account information — your name, username, email address, and profile details you provide.
Content you create — cases, evidence cards, flows, rounds, prep, posts, and comments.
Usage information — basic technical data needed to operate the Service (for example, session cookies to keep you signed in).
Payment information — if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; Stripe handles them.

2. How we use your information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
To authenticate you and keep your account secure;
To enable features you choose, like sharing cases or posting to the community feed;
To process subscriptions and prevent abuse;
To communicate with you about the Service.

3. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run DebateX, including:

Google Firebase — authentication and database hosting;
Stripe — payment processing;
DeepSeek — powering the Evidence Finder’s web search (only your search query is sent).

Content you choose to post publicly or share with others will be visible to those users.

4. Your privacy choices

Your profile is private by default — your record and rounds are hidden from others unless you make your profile public. You control what you post and who you share cases with. You can request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us.

5. Children's privacy

DebateXis not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Users under 18 should use the Service with a parent or guardian’s involvement. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
