Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use DebateX. If you are under the age of 18, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. If you are under 13, you may not use the Service.

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, or otherwise abusive;
• Share content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share;
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• Use the Service to spam or distribute malware.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Community posts can be reported and are subject to moderation.

You retain ownership of the content you create (cases, cards, notes, posts, and comments). By posting content publicly or sharing it with others through the Service, you grant DebateX a non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and provide the Service. You are responsible for the content you post.

DebateX offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly) through our payment processor, Stripe. Paid plans may include a free trial; unless you cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first billing period automatically.

You can cancel at any time; your plan remains active through the end of the current billing period and does not renew after that. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with notice for future billing periods.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Certain provisions survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Evidence and research results are generated with the help of third-party tools and may be inaccurate or incomplete — always verify sources before relying on them. DebateX is a study and preparation aid and does not guarantee any competitive outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DebateX and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
